Recently, the 11th International Conference on Geosynthetics (11 ICG), sponsored by International Geosynthetics Society and hosted by Korea Geosynthetics Society, was held in Seoul, South Korea. Professor Cai Xiaoguang from the Scientific Research Department of IDP was invited to attend the meeting.
Professor Cai Xiaoguang made an academic report on "Horizontal Seismic Force Analysis of Two-stage Reinforced Earth Retaining Wall", and introduced the latest research results related to seismic resistance of reinforced earth retaining wall. There were extensive exchanges and in-depth discussions with experts at home and abroad on relevant scientific issues at the meeting.
More than 1200 well-known experts and young scholars attended the meeting, who were from more than 50 countries and regions including China, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Germany, the United Kingdom and France. The International Geosynthetics Conference is a global symposium on the theory and application of geosynthetics. The International Geosynthetics Society includes 44 Member States, 3500 individual members and 186 enterprise members all over the world. The conference has a history of more than 40 years. The theme of the 11th International Geosynthetics Conference is "Geosynthetics: Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Development". There are 63 special links in the conference, including Giroud report, invited report, keynote report, special report, electronic post and special technical training. The meeting elected the chairman, vice chairman and members of the new International Geosynthetics Society, and determined that the 12th International Geosynthetics Conference would be held in Italy.
