On the morning of April 11, 2018, Yi Rong, Director of the First Bureau of China General Administration of Metallurgical Geology, and his party came to IDP to discuss issues concerning cooperation. Qi Furong, Secretary of the Party Committee of IDP, and Yao Yunsheng, President of IDP, warmly received Director Yi Rong and his party. Heads of relevant departments such as Office, Scientific Research Department, Department of Earthquake Science, Department of Disaster Prevention Engineering and other relevant departments attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Yi Rong introduced the development process and business module of Metallurgical Bureau I in detail, hoping that both sides would cooperate in urban geology, geological disaster management, urban safety emergency response and other aspects in combination with their respective advantages. Qi Furong introduced the basic situation of IDP from the aspects of historical evolution and mission, basic situation of construction and development, visions and achievements, development strategy and main measures. Yao Yunsheng highly agreed with the cooperation proposal put forward by Director Yi Rong, and hoped that the relevant departments of both sides would further study and discuss, strengthen the implementation and promote the cooperation process.

After the meeting, Yi Rong and his party also visited the disaster simulation laboratory, chemical analysis laboratory of water environment, underground structure and engineering geological test site.
