IDP and South Tangshan Economic Development Zone Discussing Cooperation in Industrialization of Research Findings

On the afternoon of May 12, 2020, Cai Guijun, executive deputy director of Chengnan Economic Development Zone, Tangshan City, and Liu Yadong, secretary of the party group of Lunan District Emergency Management Bureau of Tangshan City, came to IDP to discuss issues related to the cooperation in industrialization projects. Prof. Guo Xun, vice president of IDP, warmly received Cai Guijun and his party and both sides talked and exchanged their ideas. Heads of School of Emergency Management, Scientific Research Department, office, Beijing Disaster Prevention Technology Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Cai Guijun gave a detailed introduction of the industrial park from three aspects: the industrial orientation, development advantages and supporting services. He pointed out that he hoped to combine their respective advantages with the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of IDP in relevant fields of emergency equipment industry. Prof. Huang Meng of the School of Information Engineering demonstrated the "Songyuan Earthquake Disaster Prediction System" independently developed by IDP. Liu Yadong spoke highly of the role of the earthquake disaster prediction system in emergency rescue decision-making, and expressed the hope that he could further exchange views and build cooperation in the research and development of the emergency management platform. Guo Xun agreed with the cooperation proposal put forward by Cai Guijun and Liu Yadong, and hoped that the relevant departments of both sides could further study and discuss through this meeting and promote the cooperation process in industrialization projects.

After the meeting, Cai Guijun and his party visited the school's engineering structure anti-collapse laboratory and disaster simulation laboratory.
